Lonni Rodriguez-Funk has a Master of Education Degree with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership and has worked in higher education for the last 20 years. Lonni has experience working in both public and private colleges and understands the unique challenges that come with assisting students as they navigate the college process. She has 12 years’ experience directing multiple WorkForce education grants that help low income, first-generation students pursue their educational goals.
Prior to that, Lonni worked as an academic advisor for first-generation students and a college navigator for High School students. Lonni has administered and written 12+ State and Federal grants to help low-income students over the last 15 years totaling approximately. $5.1 million dollars. Lonni is especially passionate about finding the strengths in the employees she supervises and using those skills to best serve students.
Lonni lives in Yakima, WA with her husband Ray and has one son, Trey who is attending Washington State University. In her spare time Lonni enjoys hiking, exercising, and spending time with family and friends
