New Construction Roofing Sales Executive

About Us

Raising the Bar for Roofing in Oregon

At IronHead Roofing, we deliver a comprehensive range of commercial and residential roofing services designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients across Oregon. Whether you’re a homeowner in need of residential roofing services, a business owner planning a new construction project, or a property manager seeking reliable roof repairs, our team of expert roofing contractors is here to help. We specialize in roof replacement, repairs, and maintenance for all types of roofs, including composition shingles, standing seam metal, low slope, and flat roofing systems. Our commitment to quality workmanship and exceptional service means every roofing project is completed with precision and care. We understand the unique challenges of Oregon’s climate, and we’re dedicated to protecting your property with roofing solutions that stand the test of time

We’re a veteran-owned, Oregon-based residential and light commercial roofing company — and an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a distinction held by fewer than 1% of roofing companies nationwide. That credential isn’t just a badge; it opens doors with builders and developers who’ve learned to vet their trade partners carefully.

We are one of the largest roofing companies in the state with in-house crews and trusted partners .which means we control quality, protect schedules, and give our sales team something real to sell. We’ve built a strong reputation with builders, general contractors, developers, and property managers across Oregon, and we’re expanding into new markets.

We’re looking for a driven sales professional who wants to build a book of business with a company that can back it up.

Role Overview

This is a business development-heavy role focused on the new construction channel. You’ll own your territory — identifying projects early, building relationships with the right decision-makers, generating and closing bids, and managing those projects through to completion alongside our production team.

This role is primarily in-market Portland to Eugene and surrounding growth corridors, with regular field travel to job sites, builder offices, and industry events. You’ll be supported by estimating resources, production coordination, and a brand that carries real credibility — but the pipeline starts with you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop relationships with homebuilders, GCs, developers, and property managers
  • Identify new construction opportunities early through job site visits, permitting data, plans, and networking
  • Generate, present, and close competitive bids — including scope review, take-offs, and value-based pricing
  • Manage awarded projects through to completion in close coordination with production
  • Maintain a disciplined, active pipeline with consistent follow-up at every stage
  • Protect gross margins through principled pricing — not by discounting to volume
  • Represent the company at builder association events, pre-construction meetings, and industry functions
  • Develop account plans targeting multi-project and preferred vendor opportunities

Your First 90 Days

  • Learn our estimating process, production workflows, and project handoff standards
  • Get introduced to existing builder and GC relationships; identify key targets in your territory
  • Begin generating bids and building an active pipeline from the ground up
  • Establish a consistent prospecting cadence and CRM discipline
  • Close your first project and hand it off cleanly to production

Who Thrives Here

  • Proactive by default. You’re already at the job site, the industry breakfast, the builder’s office — before anyone asks.
  • Relationship-driven. You play the long game. Trust and reputation are how you build a book that compounds.
  • Accountable. You own your numbers and your outcomes. No excuses.
  • Collaborative. You’re a closer who also knows that great execution — not just the sale — is what earns the next project.
  • Detail-oriented enough to manage projects, not just sell them.

Why Top Performers Choose Us

• Owens Corning Platinum Preferred — a credential that carries real weight with builders and developers
• Transparent commission structure with recurring earning potential tied directly to project profitability and account growth
• Uncapped earnings — as your book of business grows, so does your income
• Operational support — estimating resources, production coordination, and marketing so you stay focused on selling
• Veteran-owned culture — integrity and accountability aren’t talking points; they’re how we operate
• Real growth path — Senior Sales Executive → Sales Leadership → Regional expansion as we scale.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience — construction industry strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of self-generating business through networking and relationship development
  • Strong communication skills — equally comfortable with a VP of Construction and a job site super
  • Highly organized and self-directed; you manage your own time and pipeline without being chased
  • Experience selling roofing, building materials, or construction services

Preferred:

  • Ability to read architectural plans and perform basic take-offs
  • Existing relationships with Oregon-area builders, GCs, or developers
  • CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
