About the Position:

Hope Harbor is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director to manage and oversee the organization’s programs, ensuring that we provide the maximum benefit within our classroom environments. This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of care and education for the at-risk children and youth we serve.

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually

Benefits: 403B with match, Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), Paid Vacation

Location: Claremore, OK

Job Duties

  • Work closely with the Executive Director to manage and oversee all program aspects at Hope Harbor, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Develop and maintain standards, and measurable outcomes, and communicate expectations to uphold the highest quality of program delivery.
  • Assume a leadership role in maintaining licensing through DHS and ensure the program meets licensing and accreditation expectations related to safety.
  • Proactively participate in and contribute to the development of positive team morale and a supportive work environment.
  • Oversee the hiring and supervising of qualified house parents and other positions with direct contact or care responsibilities for the residents.
  • Promote the professional development of team members by providing frequent feedback, guidance, and coordinating relevant and meaningful training.
  • Provide input or direct assistance with assessment, treatment planning, implementation, evaluation of program efforts, case management, and counseling.
  • Participate in the recruitment and enrollment of students who are appropriate for placement.
  • Develop, implement, and integrate trauma-informed practices into all relevant aspects of the educational programs.
  • Address individual, developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and sensory issues impacting learning and behavior in various contexts.
  • Participate in case review discussions and contribute to treatment planning and goal development.
  • Recommend environmental adaptations and modifications at school and in the residential setting to support individual needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related area
  • Licensed Mental Health Professional
  • Minimum of five years of experience in supervision and management
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with at-risk children and youth
  • Experience with social services and familiarity with DHS licensing requirements
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proficiency in both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team
  • Expertise in trauma-informed care and its application within educational and residential programs
  • Knowledge of and experience with case management, assessment, treatment planning, and counseling
