Our Story:

Heritage Custom Painting is a Residential & Commercial painting business located in Tipton, Indiana. Heritage Custom Painting has been serving Central Indiana and beyond for nearly 15 years. In 2009, Jason Humrichous launched Heritage Custom Painting. In 2019 HCP & Finney Painting merged, and Jason Finney became the co-owner of Heritage. 

Heritage Custom Painting specializes in interior, exterior, and cabinet painting. We have a unique process for our work, done from start to finish ensuring that our projects are painted from top to bottom. Our goal is to increase the value and beauty of homes/properties while protecting surfaces. From interior washable to flexible exterior painting, our services and products allow buildings to stand against peeling and cracking.

About the Position:

The Project Consultant will partner with the company owners to build client relations, identify new leads, increase sales, and track business development. This role is responsible for passive and active lead generation by identifying new prospective clients through various means and leveraging existing relationships. The Project Consultant then coordinates sales, negotiations, and manages documentation. Most importantly, this role is responsible for follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, ultimately resulting in referrals and/or return customers. 

Hours: Full-Time (One late evening per week is required, with a late start in the morning if requested. One Saturday per month is required, with the following Monday Off)

Compensation: Commission (Expected first year compensation of $72,000-$80,000, with 6-figure potential in 2-3 years)

Location: Tipton, Indiana 

Job Duties

Sales and Client Relations:

  • Coordinate any and all sales, sales contacts, negotiations, pricing, and final sales with the Company’s owners. 
  • Adhere to the Company’s guidelines for sales procedures and performance.
  • Communicate the benefits of Heritage Custom Painting over competitors accurately and persuasively
  • Maintain communication with clients before, during, and after projects to ensure satisfaction.

Lead Development:

  • Identify and network with key groups that fit our target markets.
  • Develop new customers by leveraging new and existing relationships.
  • Represent Heritage and gain new leads by participating in sales and trade shows.
  • Maintain contact with high referral sources via various means, including but not limited to in-person visits, phone calls, text messages, emails, and other activities.

Administrative:

  • Document all customer interactions and maintain accurate contact logs.
  • Meticulously track leads and sales to develop reports for Company owners. 
  • Process purchase orders for consummated sales and provide them to Company owners.

Professional Development:

  • Participate in professional development and employer training.
  • Develop and maintain detailed paint and light construction knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of of professional sales or business development experience (preferred in construction or home improvement)
  • A bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
  • Proven track record with marketing and sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Friendly, warm, and persuasive personality
  • Not afraid of cold calling 
  • Technologically inclined and willing to learn new software
