About the Position:

The HR Manager supports Emtech’s strategic objectives by planning, directing, and implementing policies consistent with the Company’s core values for all areas of the Human Resources function, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations and compliance. This role requires someone effective in developing and maintaining structure and processes.

Employment Classification: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Exempt.

Salary: $105,000 – $135,000 annually

Job Duties

Oversee Emtech’s employee benefits program, ensuring that the company maintains a legacy of generous compensation and wise resource stewardship:

  • Support the CEO in designing and establishing an equitable compensation structure; build out and oversee the merit process, promotions, and bonus guidelines
  • Complete job evaluations for new and existing positions
  • Manage benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave, GAP+, education assistance, HSA, PTO and leave of absence including FMLA.

Manage the full cycle staff recruiting process:

  • Create a talent attraction strategy to help drive strong talent to fulfill our mission
  • Lead interview training for internal staff and ensure that Emtech is up to date on selection compliances
  • Lead and manage the new hire orientation process
  • Research, present and implement fresh ideas to insure we lead the market as one of the “top places to work”

Initiate, improve upon, and oversee all Employee Relations initiatives:

  • Develop initiatives that contribute to a positive and respectful work environment
  • Plan and organize team meetings, trainings, and events
  • Develop and/or implement relevant and required trainings for all staff
  • Encourae employee feedback and engagement; respond to grievances promptly

Establish, manage, and lead the organization in performance management practices:

  • Advise and implement best practices relating to interviewing, hiring, terminating, promoting, and performance evaluations
  • Ensure all job descriptions are current and key competencies are clearly articulated on all postings
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, advise on incentives, and implement improvement plans and trainings as needed
  • Ensure complete and consistent HR documentation practices are followed
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare full internal and external separation package 

Lead insurance and compliance for the organization:

  • Coordinate all insurance policies, ensuring that all levels are sufficient, along with management of insurance carriers and brokers
  • Ensure organizational compliance with all applicable employment laws
  • Create, revise, and maintain policy manuals for staff and individual departments

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, business or related field
  • At least seven years of human resources management experience
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be efficient at creating and maintaining structure and processes
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in HRIS management
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must have experience evaluating ongoing programs and processes to identify any opportunities for improvement and make recommendations
  • Must have a proven track record of building strong relationships to drive business results
  • Change management experience
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification credential
  • Experience in a staffing enterprise industry
  • Understands and consistently applies Servant-Leadership principles
